I'm no expert but the shorter the intake the better and the longer the intake the higher the resistance. By utilizing the stock placement and going with a larger diamater of tubing and K&N filters it seems that it would give the best result. Also modifying the stock air box a little by cutting out some of the fins inside would also help.
