I worked on it a little Sunday. I finished welding up the front edge where the spine is and ground off the remaining/excess glue,paint and removed all the rivets. Another cool thing about the XKR skin is that the center section sits up above the crossfire hood about 1/2'' in the middle(about a foot wide) and creates a nice little cowl effect as well. I considered sealing it off but then decided to just add a little brace in the middle and leave it open to provide even more heat to vent out of the engine bay. I ran into a little snag on the front edge where the aluminum meets the steel and have to do some underside surgery to be able to glue/rivet in a nice reinforcement plate before I can start the fiberglass and filler work. She's coming along slow and steady and I hope to have all of my external mods done and ready to debut at this years Mopars at the Strip(mats.com).
