No one is doubting that a 66 Corvette is a classic, but after having owned three Corvettes and my brother owning a 65-396 and a 66-427, I can say unequivocably that my SRT6 is a vastly superior car, both in handling, build quality, and frankly......looks. Being as ancient as I am, I have driven these classics - when they were new - and nostalgia doesn't make them great.
We'll see as Crossfires age if they will become classics as well.
I think the srt6 handles about average for a sports car, I have owned cars that handled much better. Do not get me wrong, i like my srt6 a lot but it is far from being the best car I have owned. The rear tends to be a little light on the srt6, i expected it to be a little more balanced than what it is.
It is still a good car though.
