I drive mine daily. For the winter here in Chicago I have put snow tires on and 150lbs of sand in the back to aid in traction. It has done wonders...

Now the only thing I deal with are the people who stare at me when I go through the touchfree carwash in 10 degree weather
to get the salt cleaned off the car... at least once a week.
