I'm seriously considering buying a 370Z when they hit the UK in early 2009. I won't be queuing up becuase early adopters don't get the deals, but I will be taking a test drive and we'll see what the trade-in offer is from there.

I love my SRT-6 and it stills draws admiring glances but I'm getting increasingly concerned about spares. I have a Chrysler full warranty until Jan 2010; so what's the worry you may well ask? Well, I've had a noisy water pump now for two months and Chrysler UK are unable to find a replacement. Yes I know it has to come from MB and if I had a 2006SLK 320 AMG with the same problem, then I would have had it sorted with 24 hours. But if my Gran had have had *****, she'd have been my Grandad!

I don't have an MB; I have an SRT6 and it even took four days for a replacement alternator. What's it going to be if something major goes wrong? Let's face it - if the water pump had failed (and it could at any time) I'd have been off the road for over eight weeks now.

Economics allowing, I change my car every three years to avoid problems with breakdowns etc. It's hassle-free motoring and I know I pay a price for this in depreciation but, for now, that's my choice. So, the SRT would have been under consideration for a change in 2010 anyway. Events may accelerate this. The Infiniti G37S is also on the list but Infiniti aren't launching the brand in the UK until mid 2009, and the way things are going this may be even later.

Cheers
