Re: Headlights Help!!! Please!!!
I just got off the phone w/ my Service Manager at our Chrysler Store..... You're toast. He told me that while we did replace several pairs under warranty, we probably shouldn't have. The major reason that these have had issues were because of sitting in holding yards for 2 years for cars that wern't sold. Then Chrysler released a few thousand of these in spring 2007. There weren't that many reports of this issue at the time, and when we were getting in cars w/ under 20 miles we were lucky to have these replaced. Now more and more claims have been filed and they aren't replacing the lights.
Your dealer might be doing all he can. I know you don't want to hear that, but if his hands are tied from Chrysler.... There's not much he can do. I would bite the bullit and ask him what kind of a break he can make you on new lights, or ask if Chrysler is willing to split the cost w/ you. Any help is better than none. Just my 2 cents
