Agree 100%. The only person on the lot that seemed to know anything about the one I bought only knew about it from tinkering around with various buttons and maybe a little reading. Even then this guy said "oh don't worry about the premium fuel, you can run regular"...I made sure to call their maint shop and another just to verify my suspicions. Even then, the after market salesman who kept trying to sell me maint plans said "you get free tire rotation as well..." as part of his pitch. He turned red when I said I didn't know you could rotate 18 & 19's.
I am always amazed at how little the salemen actually know about their products at a car dealership. The other day when Cathy almost bought an "05 NA (whew, missed it by thaaaaaaaaat much) the salesmman told us he had been selling Chrysler cars for 40 years. But, he didn't know squat about a car his company had sold for 5 years that has had almost no design or equipment variations.
The sales manager didn't even know if they had any Crossfire Certified mechanics in the service bay team. Yet, he insisted, they could take good car of both our crossfires.
