There are owners with "ricer" mentalities at every price point.
chrome is what most of the rednecks use on their jacked up trucks, other than that it is nice on the old classic cars of the 50's and 60's. I think chrome looks terrible and tacky on late model cars.
As for the caliber, I simply think it is a very ugly car. Stock they run 14's and I am sure by turning up the boost they would do much better. Regardless, they are so homely I have no interest in them at all.
As for other brands, makes, models of cars I like them all. I try to buy something different every time I get a new car. I buy what I like regardless of make or model, if I like it I get it. I do not buy only domestic or only imports. I think it is silly to limit yourself to one brand or model of car.
Back on topic to the original poster. Race the car, post up the results, your done. If you win, great. If you lose, big deal. Go get an intake or pulley or both then race him again.
