Default Re: AMG SLK STYLE Side Skirts for the crossfire

Hey guys good news and some bad for some..... We may not be able to offer paint for more then one reason.

1) There are not enough people who want paint, and with our painter flaking out on our last customer (Jose) we do not want to have this happen to anyone else. We can find another painter no problem they are all over the place, but this such a huge group buy having someone mess up skirts or not do the quality we expect the first time around is not worth having unhappy customers.

2) These will be shipped to us on a pallet from the factory with each set wrapped individually but not in boxes. Hopefully this doesn't sound alarming to anyone who has ordered body panels before they usually do tons of layers of bubble wrap and shrink wrap.

3) Shipping, we can have a flex additive put into the paint but without boxes still is not worth the chance with your pillars and money.

4) The dreaded trimming to fit and drilling holes. Every car is different no two crossfires are going to fit together exactly the same. There may need to be a trim here and a cut here, we are guess from our experience with other body kits but you just don't know. As for drilling holes, they will need to be drilled and marked to line up with the screws. It is not possible to make a fiberglass mold with the holes already cut out. This might not seem like a huge problem but if we were going to paint them we would have to take the time to test fit every side skirt and drill the holes out for you.

5) Last but not least is paint matching. I tend to forget that not everyone lives in MN and stores their car 6-7 months out of the year. Therefore those who live where they are able to drive their car year round may have a slightly faded color to their paint. Would this be noticeable if we painted them maybe yes maybe no but again why even take the chance.

To ease your mind any reputable autobody shop will fit these and paint these to match your car for $300 dollars or less. Color sanding, extra layers of clear and sanding between coats is quite a bit more expensive but sometimes the results speak for themselves.

Once again I am sorry to break this to you on the day the prototype skirts are finished but me and Rudy talked it over tonight and feel like this is really in the best interest of everyone.

Last Note of the day, I am going to be collecting the rest of the deposits up front. We came up with the Idea that everyone send their total $350 and roughly an extra $85-$115 for insured shipping. We will refund the difference to you. Local pickup is also welcome for free. So total is $465 + or - your refunded price once these are ready to ship. We were going to ship one at a time as soon as they were done but we have decided it is more fair to wait untill they are all done to ship we are looking at anywhere to 6-8 weeks like stated WAY BACK ON PAGE ONE lol.... Can you believe it? Any questions feel free to PM me or rudy anytime. Also you can get ahold of us RIGHT away @

Those who allready paid for paint will have that applied towards shipping and refunded the rest.
