If they didn't know how many quarts your car needed, there's a good chance they may have put regular 5W or 10W-30 oil in it.
Worth a check, and may be time to switch dealers.
...When we did the test drive I asked him if he had put Mobil 1 0-40W in it and he told me he had... I know no guarantee... When the other technician came to my house he had 3 quarts of Mobil 1 0-40W I still have the empty 2 containers and a 1/2 full one. At that time I had my story down to paper of all the events of the day on the bottom I asked the technician to date and sign the paper and he added in his own handwriting that he had added 2 1/2 quarts of 0-40W to my car's engine...
..On top of this I found out myself that there is still a recall open for my car dating back to January 06 with regards to the cooling fan... I specifically asked the sales person when we bought the car if the car had any recalls open and he told me no!..
