Great post Max. I've always said that Americans are great people. We are so competitive, and can be very vicious against each other, especially within the government parties, but when it come to any kind of adversity, we always pull together despite our differences. It seems that when we need to pull together we forget about race, religion political affiliation or other divisions in our culture. It becomes about America pulling together. I know that great minds think along similar lines. One question keeps rearing it's ugly head in my idle moments:
I didn't see this happen in the aftermath of Katrina. What the he!! happened? Infighting, finger pointing, power grabbing and that was among our LEADERS! Not to mention how many of our citizens acted. Everything that is ugly in our country came to the surface. Hard for me to understand.
Disasters are disasters. Why was that different?
