I spent a few minutes looking at a few caliber forums and on dragtimes and on some review sites and I have not seen any mention of them running any faster than mid 13's. I am not saying they can not but it looks like the vast majority of them are running anywhere from 15's to a best of mid 13's in the 1/4 mile. Some of those kids may be using their "gtech" like computer in their cars to give them a false reading of running faster but I could not even find that. I did not spend much time looking but typically when a car runs a nice time people will brag about it and post timeslips. I would say there are some exceptions out there and a few of them may have ran a better time but I sure can not find it. They would need slicks or some great drag radials with fwd to get there I would say. I also found that all the reviews on the car bashed it for its looks and for its horrible handling as well. They all ran mid to high 14's in the reviews.

As for choices of something "fast" out there, I think there are a lot of cars out there that are "fast" and much much much better looking.

Looks are obviously just based upon the eye of the beholder, but this little SS I have is even more of a monster than my Neon SRT-4 (ACR) that I had before the SRT-6. I honestly believe (and the facts out there back it up) that this Cobalt can compete with the best of them (Evo, SRT-6, MS3) in both straight-line speed and the twisties. Then I can go ahead and haul s 6 year-old in the back and get 32mpg on the way home from the track. It's the best of both worlds for me. Don't get me wrong...I LOVED the SRT-6 that I had...it was my Dream Car for a long time, but I missed my Neon SRT-4 like CRAZY the whole time I had the SRT-6. There is just something about these little 4cyl. monsters. They have a lot of personality/soul (good and bad).

Just as another little note...I've driven the Caliber SRT-4...it's NOT anything like the Neon SRT-4. Completely different extremes with a shared idea/concept.
