This is because they take into consideration when cars are getting nearly the same times, they must consider the variable of the driver. Honestly, you might never know which car is "faster"... the guy who wins the best out of 5 could swap cars and win with that car as well. He might be a more experienced racer. Now, if a car runs an 11.9xx and another car runs a 14.xxx I think you can say with confidence which car is faster. But when it is so close, saying one car is faster just because it won that ONE race is purely stupid and ignorant.
