Plain and simple, the faster car is the one that runs the faster times. No ifs ands or buts. A car that runs 13's but traps faster than a car that runs 12's is still a 13 second car no matter how you try to fudge it.
Maybe because some of us have been to the track and watched cars race. I've seen cars run low 12's @ 120+mph. That isn't a 12 second car no matter how you slice it. That's a terrible driver in a really really fast car.
The winner of the race is determined by who's light goes off first. Determining who's care is FASTER should take into account several factors (60ft, ET, 1/4time, reaction time). <-- all of those things show up on the slip, too!
