Default Ok I broke down and bought ANOTHER + questions

It's been less than 1 month since I picked up my 05 SRT-6 w/ 12k on the odo. I've enjoyed the car so much I went out last night and picked up a Crossfire Limited Roadster! Who would have guessed Crossfires could be so addictive?!

It's almost identical to my SRT-6 in the sense it's an 05 with 12k on the odo as well. It's black with black/rust colored leather interior. Very clean inside and out. Apparently the previous owner was an enthusiast because there are "V6" badges on the fenders above the strakes and the rear hatch is de-badged (ie no "CROSSFIRE" logo)- though it looks surprisingly good. Very clean! There is also an aftermarket Mopar rear valance strakes installed. (Wonder if it was owned by a member here?- Last owner resided in the Clementon, NJ area)

My only regret is it's not a 6-spd. The auto isn't bad especially with it's ability to hold the stick to the left to automatically **** into the best passing gear. However I do like the feeling of rowing my own gears. The price was decent for such a clean car though not the best I've found. It was $16.5. I wanted to check out one in Long Island that had about double the milage but had an extended warranty (and a 6spd) for $14.5. However while my fiancee can drive a stick she prefers an auto so we picked it up.

Any idea what the difference in performance the manual is to the auto. I know in some cars the auto actually yields better numbers at the track/strip however I've only seen that from the newest cars. Are there any 0-60/1/4 times comparing both the n/a 6-speed and the n/a Auto?

Also I read about a part (forget the name) that connects to the car to "correct" the electronic communication between the throttle and transmission. Are these: safe, easy to install, and...well, effective?

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE (w/ pics):

Here's the "V6" badging above the side strakes. It doesn't look bad but I think it looks cleaner without it. Besides there's no need to proudly advertise a lowly 215hp V6.

Here's the bizzare little Karmann badge in front of the rear wheel on the driver side. ????

...and here's the partially de-badged rear. I don't know why the previous owner removed the "CROSSFIRE" emblem letters- maybe he/she was ashamed...lol. Regardless it doesn't look bad IMO, very clean.
