Thumbs up Re: Eco/Green detailing

patpur,

Thank you for the response and we appreciate the dialogue.

There are many facets of the waterless process that makes sense. Unfortunately there are several weaknesses with any of the waterless products so choosing the right one is key!

But the best practices for using them are the same and are outlined in an easy FOUR step process:

1. Spray your selected waterless cleaner on the dirty surface out of the direct sunlight
2. After spraying on surface the product begins to work and starts to emulsifies dirt and protects the surface. Start working in the product with a clean microfiber which also lifts the dirt off the vehicle surface
3. Take a second clean microfiber and buff to a shine. the result is a gleaming finish along with a water repellant treatment on the surface.
4. The product cleans and there is no runoff into the storm or sewer drains. The waste from the exterior is recovered into the microfiber.

The following are key elements to to WATER $MART:

FIRST
A WATER $MART PRODUCT

Emulsifies dirt
Protects the surface from marring
Repels dirt from the surface using static
Leaves behind paint protection

SECOND

It is the towels! you must have good micro fiber towels!
The microfiber lifts, traps the dirt and moisture

SOME PRODUCT MODELS

Most contain water, some have polymer and wax that is ok!

Try every product you can find and don't be afraid to call the manufacterers and ask for a sample!

STEAM

Steam technology has been around for quite some time and has been widely used in the detailing industry for interiors. This method of cleaning reduces the amount of chemicals that would normally be used for interior cleaning.

Most recently further technology and past experiments by many have used steam on the exterior to clean and remove dirt from a painted surface as well as superior cleaning results for wheels and rims.

PLEASE NOTE THAT EXTREME CARE MUST BE USED FOR THE EXTERIOR USE!

When combined with the right product and use on the exterior it does yield great results.

Ambient air temps are also a factor as well for cleaning in an outdoor setting.
