it is likely our transmissions can handle much punishment and heat! (i hope!)

they do now offer a 7-speed auto which is supposed to be as-bulletproof if not more-bulletproof than before!

i have driven the 7-speed auto, and personally, i think it's still pretty cool!
bullet proof and fun are two different things. They just don't want to pay for warranty work on some bozo's car who roasted a $1000 clutch. If the SRT had paddle shifters (that didn't spin with the wheel) I would have went with one of those.
