Re: Looking at Crossfires in the UK, any pointers
Hi all,
Been out all weekend driving the pants of Crossfire’s and I must say.... "I'VE GOT TO HAVE ONE"
The wife is totally converted and has already warned me, if I don't buy one, she will.
Only driven 2 manuals so far and both had problems getting into second gear, plus the clutch’s seemed very sloppy. Both of these cars also had major rim damage, which seems to be an issue with quite a few cars I've viewed.
Had one car dealer ask me to make an offer on a black one, but it was suffering badly for its age, I've never seen so many swirls on a black car.
Talking of black cars, cheers for the offer Ken.......I'm off to view your gallery now.
We went to see the car linked by
beeblebrox (cheers);
it looked quite nice but under close inspection the wheels had all been skimmed and re-finished and the driver’s door didn't line up
Found one SRT.......but it looked like somebody had taken it offroad. Nice engine though....
After all the driving around, we found a convertible locally advertised today. It's not what I want, but it's a very nice example.
Two things have got me so far, why have most of the cars got very low miles for their age and why does the boot (when open) always seem to show signs of rusting around the rectangle area. Is this a drain fault?
Thanks again for all your replies and help, I'm now off to scan the private ads.
