Did yours run intermittently or did it lose power completely? Or is this a proactive replacement under warranty?
The only caveat is with sales so low, it's awful tempting to come up with a $7k repair to make a little money for the shop. Especially when the bill goes to a 3rd party and not to mother Chrysler. Maybe it is worth getting a second opinion?
Pretty much your symptoms exactly. Thus my concern, and the economy was exactly my first thought as well. Though apparently this particular shop (Royal Gate) has more business than it knows what to do with.
