The Trinity site is pretty cool if you're into nuclear history. The Space museum is definitely awesome!
I thought it was pretty great country out there! Don't forget a short mountain drive to Cloudcroft and Ruidoso.
There is a great lodge in Cloudcroft called "Rebecca's", they say she hunts the place. Don't forget an afternoon of horse racing at Ruidoso Downs! If it's still there.
A real great cruise would be in the spring when they do the Balloon Fest in Albuquerque!

Yes, we went to the Trinity site (open only 2x/year) it's about 2 1/2 hours from here.
White Sands is really neat, the sand is so white it looks like snow!! (in 70+ degrees)
Then the "War Bird" Museum too!
