I used to have 275/40/17 Hoosiers, they worked great. Sold them when I thought I was gonna get rid of my car. Recently tried some 265/40/18 Mickey Thompsons but they were too tall for my lowered car. I might try the 225/50/16 hoosiers. They are only 18lbs and would offer better gearing/less rolling resistance. I have seen a couple cars on the net list 11's@120+mph on these so maybe I can do the same. I will be running these on a 16x8 Enkei RPF1 with 17x7 Kosei K1-TS with the skinniest tire I can fit. Will be worth 70-75lbs of weight reduction. I test fitted the kosei and the funny thing is I think if they made them in a 16" they would probally fit. I can stick my finger between the caliper and the wheel. Once the track reopens I can see if it will all be worth it.
