Banej, that sounds like the crank positon sensor setting off the CEL. I had a similar issue and used a OBDII reader to pull the code. P0335 I believe. The crank position sensor CEL will clear if the car starts up fine 3 times after it trips.

Mike, does crank sensor need to be replaced and did you fix the problem in your car? i will go straight to the dealership next time i get CEL to see if i also will get P0335.
