Just started the other morning. When i turn the wheels sitting still the it has a low whine and if i speed up the engine it gets more high pitched. I already added power steering fluid but it wasn't all that low and didn't fix it. What else could it be? Power steering pump? Serpintine belt? An idler pulley? Cold power steering fluid/ unit will be a bit louder in colder climates until it warms up...normal. Turning the steering when at a dead stop, especially when cold, is not a good idea. It is always a good idea to be rolling just a bit to help relieve the pressures that is created when turning at a stand still.
