I think you're raising some good questions as well as some interesting points ... there may be those among us whose experience would qualify them to offer intelligent response, but I'm not among them ... I was seeking a sound and the Magnaflow 16633 was close, but not quite what I wanted plus it had the disadvantage of the annoying 'drone' at certain RPMs .... I got the sound I wanted and did so at a significantly lower cost than would have been the case with the Magnaflow, but your questions are of a rather different nature and I think that while you sorta want the sound I got, you have other issues I simply will have to defer to someone else to answer ...
