Most likely, the battery pos cable shorted to the frame. Possibly at the starter motor if the engine was pushed back or to one side.

Sudden depletion, shorted it out.

Probably shorted your ECU and other management systems as well.

When you can walk again., walk away from that car.

Quickly.
