I belong to the local Mercedes Club(GWS MBCA) since my 2005 Limited is MB powered. This club has been very open to my Crossfire participation in most of their events. This club does a lot of events including shows, autocross, defensive driving and high perfomance driving events(HPDE). They visit Summit Point, VIR and other tracks on a regular basis. These events are staffed by dedicated car nuts and are very low-key but competitive. Cost is low too.

Currently there are a couple forum members who partipate regularly with the autocross events. You will be surprised how well the Crossfire(NA or SRT) will do so do not let that be a concern. I am sure it is good on track as well. I am surprised how well my car does compared to other marques. Autocross will also teach you great car control.
