Default SRT-6 Manual Transmission Mode

I talked to the guys at RENNtech and they want $20,000 to put a 6spd
in an SRT-6!?!?!?

I know i'm not the only one that thought of this or wants to do this?!?!

I'm sure it's much more involved then swapping in the 6spd in from
a standerd Crossfire with clutch pedal assembly. Will the manual tranny from a Crossfire take the hp?

Is it a clutch issue? Is it not a strong enough clutch? Is there a stronger Mercedes
6spd/ clutch that would swap in?

Is it just a waste of money? But honestly, why make an SRT-6 with out a
6spd?????

Any thoughts?

Save your money and invest about 400 Euro in the following:

VAETH -a well known Mercedes Benz Tuner - made a spezial software for the crossfire SRT6 automatic gearbox.

If you use the hand-switch-mode of the automatic transmission, you have the following advantages:

- Automatic gearbox switches immediately without delay
- Automatic transmission switches to a very wide speed range

- Consumption is reduced. You can drive with very low engine speeds.
-The transmission does not switch automatically to the next higher gear.

- The automatic transmission only switches back when the engine speed falls below 1000 rpm

The new gearbox software is much better as the useless series software.
