Default test drove an srt6 today

Beautiful car well maintained at the dealership every 3 months or so according to the carfax. And of course the salesman tells me that it was owned by an "elderly couple". These guys never quit.

My question is when I floor it and it shifts between first and second or maybe 2nd and 3rd it is not the smoothest shift I've ever felt. It is almost like everything shuts down for a split second and then takes off. I'm not looking for a race car and won't likely be really hard on this car, but want to make sure that nothing is already broken. Is this typical?

Second question, this is a certified used car so it has a 7 year 70k mile drivetrain warranty. Is this transferable? As this was sold as a Daimler/Chrysler vehicle and is mostly Mercedes will a Mercedes dealership honor the warranty if Chrysler goes under?

Las one of these cars I looked at was a convertible and the top wouldn't go down. Salesman tried to get me to buy it like that using the argument that it was under warranty. I refused and said get it fixed under warranty. They did and then rose the price $1,000 saying it wasn't covered even though the car only had $10k miles on it. so I am a little concerned about Chryslers willingness or ability to properly service these cars. But mostly I just figure car saleman suck and want to beleive everybody out there is a sucker.
