Default US Fidelis

I saw this commercial for this company that offers extended warranties on older cars.

For a whoot I called them about the SRT6. They said I barely made their New Car Warranty (oh please). They quoted me 5 yrs/75K miles.

Now I have 23K miles on a '05 SRT that had an inservice date of Feb. '07.

So that should put me still with the factory warranty for another year (or 13K miles).

Anyway, I asked US Fidelis alot of questions, like:

Are you offering a bumper to bumper 5yr/75K? Yes.

What if I wanted to take the car to an independent, ASE-cert'd shop? No problem.

What if my seat heater broke and it cost the shop $1400 to repair? (I was teasing them) As long as it is a factory part it would be covered 100%.

Do you have a ceiling on any parts that may need to be replaced? No.

Whatever I asked, they told me what I wanted to hear. As well as remind me that if I didn't make payment today I would lose this New Car Warranty Opportunity.

The reality is the car will probably be fine up to 5yrs/75K miles. But is this company any different than the others that offer the same warranties?

And what is the longest warranty to be found on the SRT?

Btw, they quoted me $2511 on the 5yr/75K. Sounds way too steep.

Thoughts? Opinions?
