Warranties are always a crap-shoot. Basically you are gambling you will incur repair expenses > $2500 so you will come out ahead. I bought the Chrysler extended warranty for my roadster because I was worried mainly about the ragtop mechanism -- take a look at the cables and stuff that operate it. Scarey.
Anyway, other than the radiator recall there has been zero problems over 4 summers and 32k miles. Wait -- I lied -- one TPM won't go off.
My SRT6 had to have the intercooler and sensor replaced, but that was done under warranty (which is now expired). So I'm hoping I never have to replace the s/c. Now of 2000+ SRT6s made, only one posted to this forum about having to replace their s/c and it cost $7k. And even then there was debate about it really being the intercooler and not the s/c. I have no extended warranties on the SRT6 and 2007, so that puts me $2-5k ahead now.
