It's not a question of lazy, it's often one of convenience. I don't mind waiting for the top to lower or raise but it really does take longer than it should. It would be nice to just hit a button and go, rather than sit and wait. Yes, it's a small thing but this is supposed to be an at least somewhat premium car - it should have a few more nice premium features. I don't know that I'd jump to pony up the money for this but if the manufacturer is willing to comp me one to help them out, well, I'm not stupid!!
And for the record, my car requires two feet and the manual moving of a lever just to change gears, so I'm certainly not lazy.
