Thanks for the confirmation ppro! I agree, the speed signal wire is no problem to identify. The wire is clearly green with a thin white stripe and can be confirmed by the pin location on the plug. As for the back-up signal, I have unwrapped the bundle, separated out all of the grey wires and will re-examine them with my reading glasses, trouble light and this time a magnifying glass also. Hopefully I'll find a very thin yellow line on the backside of what I have identified as the solid grey wire.
I installed my
component assembly for my screen and vehicle dynamics processor in the rear storage compartment under the floor. For me, it was easier to use the lead directly off the rear lamp assembly. If you use this location, you will have a wire that runs the length of the car to be concealed. But it's an alternative.
