Obviously, I would like to buy it for the member, and be reimbursed $500 over buy price + expenses. If you want to use your own dealer then that's fine too, but I seriously doubt he'll be close to my price (I buy and sell cars as a side business). These cars should go very close to auction average, but you have to factor in buyers fees, shipping, etc. It will probably be around 1k over the prices listed. The buyers fee at an auction is usually around $350.
I think $500 finders fee is fair, and it will be considerably less than any "real" dealer.
EDIT: I think this may have come out wrong, but if you guys are comfortable with a dealer in your area, then you should definitely go there and let them know the price you'll pay and see if they can get it for you. I just doubt that they'll get close to what I can get them for. I have no overhead or "dealer markup".
