I did find the gray with yellow stripe wire coming from my passenger side back-up light socket just as ppro had suggested. I'm going to follow it as far as I can towards the front of the car and splice into it. Hopefully, I won't have to remove too much of the interior trim.
Mauve? Is that a mustard-y color? If so, that's probably your wire. Could be dirty...

On using the rear wire, I'd just run the wire from right there - one wire is easy to conceal - just sneak it up between the side trim and bottom in the crease by the rear wheel arch (after fishing it out from under the side panel where the lights are and under the cover for the tire repair kits.

then along the door jamb under the rubber part that runs along the bottom of the door, then under the kick panel and through the floor area where the amp is located. The NAV unit is just looking for a signal - doesn't need power - just some volts on the wire.

Run the lead to the back and hook it up before you hide it just in case you have to mess with it.
