Sure, I understand that the credit card is an insurance thing, and I have no problem providing same
when I go and rent a car myself. However, I'm not the one renting the car, and only a copy of my
license should be asked for. That would be like them asking my mother for her credit card when
I rent a car and list her as a driver. I'm afraid I just don't see the difference here. In any case,
it is not a problem I'll be dealing with again as I've worked out a deal where I'm paid for using my
own alternate transportation.
