Most mounts are two or three piece affairs. One part that is car-specific, for obvious reasons. One part that is phone specific (for obvious reasons). And then if the owner wants, a swivel head or other appliance to make the whole thing removable (for different drivers with different phones).

This gives the manufacturer the ability to simplify their offerings. There are some standard bolt patterns in common use (the "AMP" pattern being one example).

I like the Kuda. But I did the math and decided I didn't really need it that bad, especially since my phone couples and after that is pretty much out of the picture - it can be anywhere so I just stash it.

If I was going to buy a phone mount for the Crossfire, the Kuda would be the one (an extra premium for the dark slate...)
