edit: the stock amp is VERY small, about the size of a HU, definitely not as big as the slash amps.
Here is a picture of the false floor lifted to reveal the 4" deep compartment that I put in to hold travel stuff and recently re-purposed to hold some electronics. I installed a thermally controlled exhaust fan that moves 8 CFM if the space reaches 115 degrees. The link provided takes you to the page where these photos are located but there are several pages covering this install. The false floor wasn't too hard to do with a table saw, hammer, nails and a staple-gun and razor knife...
