What plastic piece breaks? Why wont the spinning motor pump fluid...unless your saying the plastic pieces is the impeller and it just sits there as the motor spins?

If so when you search you'll see the instructions on how to change the pump. The johnson will require modifying your bracket and hoses. The ford lightning bosch pump for $80 is about at plug and play as they get. They don't fail anymore than the johnson will in a few years. The pumps fail because they sat long enough for the plastic part inside to dry and crack. The motors inside have yet to be posted that a motor of the pumps has failed. I'm sure anyone can open it up and put 12v and it will spin.
