The Rx400h is quick but not fast enough and same for Honda Accord Hybrid, though it is pretty much as fast. But nothing that I would quanify as quite abit faster.
First of all, the person that originally mentioned the Tesla is wrong. It can not do 150 MPH. It has a govern at 125 which means the designers feel it can't handle speeds that fast. And even if it didn't have a govern, I doubt it could do 150 MPH.
If you forget about top speed for a second and think about the design of the crossfire. It is built for long periods of high speed. It is not really about how fast you can go... it is more about how long you can go fast. You can do 110 MPH on the highway and it will feel smooth. The crossfire almost eats that kind of driving up. It feels like it just woke up from a long nap! Can a hybrid really keep up at high speeds for long periods of time? After about 10 miles at 110 MPH I bet it will feel like it wants to slow down. Reminds me of all these pickup drivers that try to do 100 on the highway. I love pickups and drove them in my younger days. At 100 MPH it feels really scary... with the wind blowing and you don't feel like you are in control! The crossfire is just a great feeling on the highway!
