One of my best friends has them on his original 75 280Z and on his perfect 70 Mach I. It's true they are sort of "Dated" but then so am I, and I really don't think your photo-shopped Crossfire looks that bad with them.
As was mentioned by "Blaiseshimmer", it's remarkable how much cooler the interior is with them. (Could save some ware and tear on your A/C.)
The aluminum louvers my friend has on his Z are held in place by a hidden bracket the simply slid underneath the chrome trim mldg at the top and bottom of the window. No drilling holes needed
Louvers also came from the factory on the 1977 Hornet AMX I had, and I don't remember them interfering with the rear visibility that much at all.
I guess since the "Creator" was thinking about the mid to late 60's Mustang and Corvette when he designed the fastback for the Crossfire, "vintage" or "period correct" mods to the Crossfire (to me) just don't look that out of place on it.
