In my experience, "dry spray" lubes don't penetrate. They tend to sit on the surface. WD40 is not a lubricant. It is a solvent. Itried to explain what my recommendation does that the others don't. The oil evaporates AFTER it has carried the true lubricant(Teflon and Vydax) into the mechanism. I've used this stuff for over 20 years and I like it because it doesn't attract (?) dirt.
