Default My dealer can't figure this out. Can you?

Driving along at 70+ and suddenly no power. THe throttle just sinks to the floor without resistance. I pull over, restart the car and it idles very rough and limps along at abut 3 mph. After ten minutes (with engine off) I restart and she's good as new. Problem does not happen until a week or two later - in all kinds of weather. Dealer changed throttle body - did not help. Checked tranny (which had a slow leak) replaces plug. Did not help. Now on my third visit they recommend replacing the pedal assembly ($750) I asked them to check the intercooler, pump etc.. THey claim they did and all is working fine. What woudl the pedal assembly have to do with the "limp"mode rough idle after I retsart the car? I have feeling I'm blowing $750 in the wrong direction. Any ideas? I have told the mechanice evertything I found on this site regarding similiar situations. Any thoughts?
By the way, I removed my sprint booster at the first sign of this "no throttle" probelm happening. Did not make a difference.
