Default Re: Ultimate Roadster Mod...

Vic,

I'm not sure if it would be practical from a business standpoint to provide such a package. I would need to design and manufacture a fairly large number of different solutions, one for each vehicle type, and that would be too costly. This was my main reason for not pushing this particular project after the first 50 or so hit the streets. I provided a large number to the S2000 crowd as they're fellow S2000 enthusiasts... the R&D was done once I modified my own windscreen, so continuing to offer the solution wasn't nearly as bad. Even so, it was enough trouble for me to sub-contract out the actual assembly work to someone else for any further S2000 requests.

The PCB I mentioned in my last post contains everything you need... processor, inputs, LEDs, etc. all in one convenient and tiny little package. One of these boards should be adequate to light up the entire screen, and they only cost $65 shipped. For that price, there's no way I could afford to do anything other than make some suggestions.

The boards are covered in silicone for protection from the environment, plated in 99.99% pure gold for corrosion resistance, and small enough to hide just about anywhere. It may make sense to pick up some plastic pieces to surround the bottom and sides of the screen edge, and simply hide the board inside.

The great thing I like about the screens is you can change your sticker from week to week, go for a different look by changing the LED color, or just disconnect the whole thing with a minimum of fuss.

The enclosure would be part of your complete package.
