Default dash light out?

Quick question. The Cross has a few quirks, lights here or there or stuff that you'd expect to see on a car of this caliber, but aren't there. Anyway, I just noticed tonight that the headlamp switch has the little icons for the position of the lamps, the fog on glows just fine when on, but the positional icons don't. Is there a bulb there that's out, or do they not light up, you just know where the on is? If it's out, how do you get at the bulb? From underneath the dash or by popping off the panel? This is the first time I noticed it being dark.

Oh, one other thing. I think I saw a reference to this somewhere, but on the fuel/temp gauge, there is a red line for the top of the heat that's bright red, but the red line near empty doesn't glow bright. Is this normal, or is that line supposed to be bright red too, and if so is there a bulb for that? Thanks all.
