Default Re: Cold air intake

I have the MB Cover with TVT intakes that go up to the sides of the radiator, it worked well when I had the Spectra setup with the cans in the same area as the radiator but it got warm there, plenty warm. With the switch to the aluminum pipes which are 3" as were the Spectras, I noticed a marked improvement in felt horsepower and a nice sound from the exhaust under hard aceleration.
Now that I have the MB filters mounted in their respective housings and the aluminum pipes at the front near the radiator, I have lost some of the power that I had achieved with the other set-up.
I do have one issue that someone could probably help with. I can't get the plastic recievers out from the grille/radiator area. Those recepicles that the stock flex pipe connected to. There is a button on the bottom of the grille opening that each of the two is attached to. This can't be budged by me. Perhaps someone can explain how this is done. Thanks, Crossfire Trail (Rick) Situation resolved, for now!!! Thanks to all that sent suggestions. Rick
