alrighty, let me see if I can help any...
Intercooler is not really needed (as said by STS) because of the area it is mounted. TVT said they have injectors that can handle it. I don't have my notepad with me from when I added everything up but it was something like this. Turbo, T3/T4 (ebay) $150. BOV, 42mm (HKS) $199. Wastegate (Tial) $100-ish??. Oil pump and plumbing (Summitracing) 150-ish?? Fuel and ignition controller (AEM) $464. Injectors (TVT) $449. ECU tune (TVT) $500+ Total: $1862
** STS universal kit price does not include injectors, AEM controller, or tuning.
FYI, Originally I didn't put injectors or tune into the price cause i have a E-manage and i wanted the DYI test build to be done on my 240sx which has injectors.
Sorry about all the "-ish" prices, I was guessing from what I remember writing.
As for the X recognizing the turbo and such, The MB ECU is a real ***** but I know Chuck somehow bypassed it. But the AEM controller is important here. I dont know how harmful it would be to your engine, We have very high Compression (10.0), High compression and turbos don't go together. If you do it you will need to keep it low, like 5 psi
