Thanks for the post. Actually I'm a woman. I took the car to a crossfire expert at a 5* dealer. He said the movement is normal. I tested a few others on the lot. Some had more play than others. The consensus was: the heavier you are, the less you will feel it.

This is quite the contrary to the (gentleman) that suggested that the problem was extra padding on my hips.

Standing outside on the driver's side, bend down and place your 2 palms on the outer edges of the rear-most portion of the seating surface. Use downward pressure. See if it gives.
