Default Re: How do you remove the crank bolt?

Ok got it off used a 3/4 breaker bar and stuck a extension through one of the holes on the crank to keep it from turning. and it came off pretty easily. then i just reused the old bolt and put it back on at 150ftlbs with 1/8 turn extra with the breaker. drove it checked it then double and triple checked it seems good to me i'll check it again after my next oil change but i dont think its going to go anywhere. water pump pulley was little tricky also it kept wanting to turn as i loosen the bolts, I just pushed down as i pulled the other direction and broke them loose. Only took me 45 min with a 15min break trying to find somthing to jam in the crank pulley to keep it from turning.
