I'm sure there will be plenty of folk that will come back with answers to all your questions, but I only know the answer to #2, so will give you that for now. The first pull (on the UK version at least, I assume it's the same worldwide) turns on the front fogs, and the second pull turns on the rear fogs.

Not sure about anything else you ask, but I'm curious about #3 too, I've not needed the thing, nor looked for it, but I'm curious about where it might be.
