You can definitely do it without a lift, it's just much, much easier. The main point here is that YES, you can do it! It's very rewarding to do it yourself too. Welcome to the forum and don't be afraid to ask questions or double post. It happens.

P.S. I used the service manual which is posted here on the site. I basically removed the top shock bolts and the lower A-arm bolts. Just be careful when lowering the A-arms so that the spring doesn't come flying out. Use a small jack to keep pressure and slowly lower it down. I also used blue Loctite on all the bolts upon re-installation.
Thanks cgocifer I knew you were kidding but its still pretty pathetic that I can't find anything on this forum no matter how hard I try hah. Oh and I'm not really a newcomer I just tend to hide out and watch... been on here for a year or so but the welcome is still appreciated since this is one of the few threads I actually start so its like I'm new anyway. I'll definitly post up something about how it went when I finallly get around to it I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks again everyone for all your help.
